IASMS was founded by three Innovation Academy students who wanted to bring serious financial education to their school — the kind that goes beyond AP Econ textbooks and into real market mechanics, charting, and strategy.

Mission

"IASMS teaches Innovation Academy students to analyze and trade ETFs through monthly workshops and a live semester-long simulation competition, building financial literacy and technical analysis skills applicable to careers in finance and investing."

SPY (S&P 500 ETF) and QQQ (Nasdaq-100 ETF) only. The two most actively traded instruments in the US market.

Overnight holds

Positions may be held overnight and over weekends. This is a semester-long simulation — not day trading only.

Minimum 3 trades per week to stay on the leaderboard. Miss 2 consecutive weeks without notice and you're removed.

One reset per season. A reset restarts you at $90,000 — not $100,000. Use it strategically if you need to.

Highest portfolio value at season end. Announced at the December meeting with a prize and website feature.
